Many thanks to the team at the Munich Künstlerhaus and to all guests!
These are the evenings and moments that you often look forward to as a painter. The moment your exhibition opens. Visitors come and can experience your paintings in the original. You can have conversations, get to know people and get direct feedback on your work. Over the years you gain experience at such events and perhaps even develop a certain routine.
This evening, this vernissage, was completely different. It is something special when a long-held wish becomes reality and you find yourself in one of your dream scenarios - at your exhibition in the Munich Künstlerhaus . Not somewhere in Munich or the surrounding area where you can consume culture. No, the Munich Künstlerhaus is an institution in which culture is lived and conveyed with passion and ingenuity to a knowledgeable, curious and surprised audience. It is therefore not surprising that this house - with its rich history - and its program is known far beyond the borders of Munich and Bavaria.
All of this is initiated by an experienced, professional and passionate management team consisting of Birgit Gottschalk and Jennifer Ruhland. My first thanks therefore go, among many others, to Birgit Gottschalk and Jennifer Ruhland, as well as their team, who put so much heart and soul into making the exhibition possible and supporting this exhibition.
So last Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. the exhibition "Atmospheric Stories" was opened in the Munich Künstlerhaus with a wonderful, apt and emotional opening speech by Birgit Gottschalk in front of a very interested and large audience at the vernissage. Afterwards the art historian Dr. Ingrid Gardill took the floor and introduced the paintings and motifs in the exhibition with expert, detailed and skilful explanations. I have a long-standing friendship with Ingrid Gardill and she has been accompanying my work for many years. I was also pleased with the many colleagues who took time to look at my works that evening, as well as with all the friends and art lovers who filled the evening with life.
I did not expect so much positive and interested feedback, and it shows me that a physical exhibition can often be much more than an exhibition in the digital space.
Thanks to
My thanks also go to Anne Coersmeier for the apt, lively and extremely professional photos of the vernissage. All photos shown here are protected by copyright and require the express written permission of Anne Coersmeier for publication.
